Pre-cutting is a feature that allows you to upload raw footage whenever you want, and Violet will automatically analyze it, find trending video styles that might match it, fill in the gaps with AI placeholders, and cut it into video drafts for you.

You upload source footage, and Violet produces drafts for you automatically. This process can take up to 48 hours, depending on the length and complexity of the footage. Pre-cutting cycles run every week by default. We do our best with the footage you provide, but we can't guarantee the results will be perfect if you provide low-quality or incomplete footage.

Every Business Tier subscription supports up to 1 hour of footage for pre-cutting each month. Additional footage is billed at $16 per extra hour per month. For example, if you upload 4 hours of footage, you'll be charged $29 + ($16 * 3) = $77 for the month.

Pre-cutting quota is based on the footage you've uploaded, not on the time spent processing it. You can upload an hour of footage, delete it, upload a new hour, and never have to pay extra. The total footage uploaded at any given time is what counts toward your pre-cutting quota.
